GLP1-S is a synthetic analog of glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1), a hormone naturally produced in the intestines. It has a molecular weight of 4,113.64 g/mol and the formula C₁₈₇H₂₉₁N₄₅O₅₉ (CAS 910463-68-2). First described in 2007, it is classified as a GLP-1 receptor agonist. Key structural modifications include the substitution of alanine with alpha-aminoisobutyric acid (Aib) at position 8 and the attachment of a C-18 fatty diacid side chain at position 26, a modification common in long-acting peptide analogs.
